Trail Closed TEMPORARILY Effective December 17, 2014

Fish Canyon Access Trail is temporarily closed due to a recent rock slide on a portion of the Angeles National Forestís Fish Canyon Falls trail. The Los Angeles County Fire Department and the Angeles National Forest Service have advised that the trail access and the trail remain closed until the trail can be evaluated by Angeles National Forest Service.

Once the trail is deemed safe by the Angeles National Forest Service, the trail and trail access will re-open.

Azusa Rock Quarry

The Azusa Fish Canyon Falls Trail Access

The Trail Access opened to the public on Saturday, June 21, 2014. Trail Access is located on Vulcan Materials Company's Azusa Rock Quarry property. The Access Trail and Parking Area provide direct access through the Azusa Rock Quarry to the Angeles National Forest Trail, which leads to Fish Canyon Falls.

The Trail Access is located in Azusa at 3901 Fish Canyon Road.

Directions: From Foothill Boulevard, take Encanto Parkway until it turns into Fish Canyon Road. Continue on Fish Canyon Road until it ends. Quarry is on the left. Enter through the Access Trail Gate.

Trail Guidelines

The City of Azusa Access Trail gives hikers access to Fish Canyon Falls by allowing hikers to walk through a mine quarry using a fenced trail. To ensure your safety through the quarry, all hikers must abide by all trail rules.

Dangerous animals and plants may be present in the area. Keep away from Poison Oak - abundant in spring and summer - especially along the Fish Canyon Falls Trail. Also, be alert and avoid any contact with wildlife in the area. For your safety and theirs!

Current Condition - Waterfalls and Creek are dry due to drought

Caution: Poison Oak is abundant this time of year. Also, watch for rattlesnakes!
